PRS provides testing and remediation for contaminated or potentially contaminated soil, from initial assessment and sampling through remedial work and verification.

The work is planned for the individual site. PRS considers the site history, current and intended land use, reported concerns, site conditions, laboratory results and potential pathways before agreeing the required investigation or remediation.

Scope and limitations

The testing schedule and acceptance criteria are agreed for the site, its history and its intended use. Laboratory testing may cover hydrocarbons, metals and other relevant contaminants identified by the project. Field screening, where used, is comparative and does not replace laboratory analysis. Quantitative risk assessment, regulatory approval and independent verification are provided by the appropriate competent parties where required.
