Who is responsible for your information
Plumbing Repairs and Solutions Limited, trading as PRS, is the controller of personal information covered by this notice. PRS is based in Guernsey and can be contacted at info@prsgsy.com or on 07781 111222.
Information PRS may collect
The information collected depends on the enquiry or instruction and may include:
Your name, telephone number, email address and contact preferences.
Property addresses, access arrangements and project information.
Correspondence, instructions, quotations and appointment records.
Site photographs, measurements, notes, reports and technical records that may identify a person.
Billing, payment and accounting information.
Technical information recorded for website operation and security.
How information is used
PRS may use personal information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange access, provide instructed services, prepare reports, communicate with relevant project parties, maintain business records, meet legal or regulatory duties, protect legal rights and keep systems secure.
The lawful basis will depend on the circumstances. It may include taking steps before entering a contract, performing a contract, complying with a legal obligation, pursuing a legitimate business interest or relying on consent where consent is appropriate.
Who information may be shared with
Information is shared only where there is an appropriate reason. This may include clients, property owners, insurers, loss adjusters, advocates, surveyors, contractors, consultants, laboratories, professional advisers, service providers and public authorities. The information shared is limited to what is reasonably required for the instruction, legal obligation or stated purpose.
PRS does not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Records are kept only for as long as reasonably required for the service, contractual arrangements, insurance, professional reporting, accounting, legal claims and regulatory obligations. Different records may require different retention periods.
Proportionate technical and organisational measures are used to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but access is limited and information is handled according to the sensitivity of the record.
Processing outside the Bailiwick
Some technology or professional service providers may process information outside the Bailiwick of Guernsey. Where this occurs, PRS will take reasonable steps to use an appropriate legal basis and safeguards for the transfer.
Your rights
Subject to the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017 and any applicable exemptions, you may have rights to receive information about processing, access your information, correct inaccurate information, request erasure or restriction, object to certain processing, receive eligible information in a portable form and not be subject to certain decisions made only by automated processing.
If processing relies on consent, consent can be withdrawn. This does not affect processing completed before withdrawal.

Cookies and website information
The public website uses technology required for operation and security. Non-essential cookies are used only in accordance with the choices made through the cookie banner. PRS does not currently use the website for behavioural advertising.

The website provides general information about PRS services. It is not a survey, technical opinion, quotation, legal advice or a substitute for a property-specific inspection. Advice and conclusions are provided only through an agreed instruction and are subject to the scope, evidence and limitations recorded for that work.
